DVDCopy Main Movie - does not include Menu

    Confused.

Using Passkey I rip a DVD to an ISO image, mount the image with Virtual Drive then load the disc as my source and select Main Movie copy option.

I select the languages and subtitle selections I want and the copy process works fine. However, when the film is played there is no DVD navigation menu.

Where do I go to select this?

I have attempted to preview each chapter but do not find the menu as a chapter. In the above scenario I am using Clash of the Titans (2010) as my source disc. Green Mile (1999) behaves the same way. Playback skips to main movie with no DVD menu option.

The end result I am after is to have the DVD menu including all navigation, the main move with no previews, ads, and multiple language and subtitle options available through the menu setup option.

Can anyone explain where my process steps can be changed?

First, why are you doing a redundant process by ripping with passkey and then re-ripping with DVDFab?

As to your main question, there is no option for menus in Main Movie mode as it isn't needed since you can only select one video track.

You have use Full Disc, Clone or Custom to get the menus.

      1) Main Movie mode has no menus. If you want to pick the title and audio/subpic content (i.e. some but not all) and keep the menus, use Customize mode.

      2) As the Sweet One pointed out, you do not need to use Passkey first. Just let DVDFab decrypt the disc in either Main Movie or Customize mode. Unless you need the Full Disc rip for some reason.

Hi and thank you both for your comment.

In some instances I want to maintain an ISO backup file so I ripped via Passkey to ISO then mounted those files. Where I had no interest / need of a back up copy then I would rip directly to folder structure.

I am using My Movies for the meta data and indexing for an HDI Dune Pro media player.

I shall try the full copy / customize method to see if that gets me where I want to be. I just recently switched from AnyDVD + CloneDVD so may be repeating steps I used for a different set of applications that are redundant or simply don't work the same in DVDFab.

        Thanks!

You can use DVDFab to make an ISO Backup as well. That is all I've ever done.
