It could be the disc itself. I tried it in a different DVD player and it was glitchy with a lot of stalling. I'm going to take it bake and get another copy and see what happens.

      Hi fishslab
It may be a bad disc as you say.
Are you also using the free HD Decrypter of Fab?
If so please read this http://forum.dvdfab.com/showthread.php?t=879, if not check your registration to see if it has expired.

Open Fab click the ? click about, what does it say under your registered options?
Please do not post your license numbers or a screen shot.

        Prometheus -Blue Ray

I back up my bd disc in two steps. First I rip the full disc removing the bd audio, then covert to an MKV.

I am running DVDFAB 8.2.2.0 when I attempt to convert it to an MKV I get a read error right away and it fails. Error: Work 1 failed, Error = 500.01 0: 17:54:53

It had to be a bad disc. Got a new copy and was able to back it up no problem.
I am using the free version of DVDFab. I understand that the free version is not updated as often as the paid version. I was trying to help the developers with any errors they may not have seen yet.
