      Details of problem.....
      1)Copy Disc was selected
      2)Movie only
      3) Process said "completed successfully"
      4) tested "archived disc" in ps3 and another dvd player that supports dvd-r
      5) film did not burn properly to disc

What is PowerDVD and why would I use it, same for ImgBurn?

          Jonatan-
I'm a total novice with this stuff, will imageburn do all the stuff (Basic level) that DVDFab will? I can create the image and burn it to the dvd-r? I'm at work so I'm not looking at the stuff.

              jonatan:
Nice icon by the way, did you get that from Lumley's Necroscope series?

Just downloaded ImgBurn....my question for you is, will it allow me to compress the Dvd9 format to dvd5 or are you suggesting I just rip the ISO and then recreate the DVD in DVDFab?

ImgBurn is a burn manager, it does not modify the content in any way. You will need to compress/modify with DVDFab first, then use Img to create and burn the image. You can use it to read the DVD-Video folder (VIDEO_TS), create the image and burn it all in one step.

Currently trying to convert the B-Ray to DVD5 this time around....I will "fiddle" with your suggestion if this is not successful. Could you point me to any "instruction" resources based upon the method you are suggesting?

The things I suggested were based on the fact that you posted in the DVD Copy forum, which has nothing to do with Blu-rays. You are trying now I think to compress a Blu-ray movie to fit on a DVD-5 size disc? That is done using Blu-ray Copy. If you are trying to convert the Blu-ray to a disc that will play in a DVD-only player, you should be using the Blu-ray to DVD module, which also has its own forum and resources that might help. Please clarify your goal.

                      Signals
I was trying to back up a dvd-9 to a dvd-5 using dvdfab and i was unsuccessful. So I downloaded imgburn per jonatan's suggestion...still unsure how to use all this stuff, I attempted to go bluray to dvd-5 and had success....Not sure why the regular dvd woudn't work but the bluray to dvd does...anyway,I'm all good now....thank you.
