            Hi mrbasilbrush
            Enough of this rant!!!
Do you really think you can just snap your fingers to get anything you want.
Post any logs generated and make sure you have an internet connection and no software is stopping Fab from accessing the internet.

Even if it's a little thing, do something for those who have need of help, something for which you get no pay but the privilege of doing it.

Wit your attitude, good luck on getting help.

Uninstall Fab, use CC Cleaner to clean your pc and then give it another go.

                hi thanks for the help.
pc is connected by ethernet and no internet problems, turned avg off. the update downloads ok and you run through the setup all ok..
its when you start dvdfab it just shows the picture of the monkey say's connecting to server and then stops and the report thingy pops up..
                any suggestions would be appreaciated.
                cheers

sorry about the attitude, tends to drive you mad after a while!
tried cleaning with cc cleaner and downloading again, with no luck still gets to the bit with connecting to server and then stops.

I know this may seem a silly question but are both of these PC's actually connected to the internet? Actually test them, do not assume.

If so, try disabling your anti-virus & firewall software temporarily.

                        Hi mrbasilbrush
Yes, there should also be an option to send which will send them to DVD Fab.
Open Fab click the ? top right, then click open log folder then copy and paste the internal log.
I 'm not sure if XP has a install as administrator option, but when you download the installer save it then right click and install as administrator, also download a fresh installer as the files may have been corrupt.
Come to think about it it does, a window will pop up asking you to keep your computer secure or something of that sort and you would have to deselect that option.
Do both computers have AVG installed on them I would try my friend GregiBoy's suggestion on disabling you anti virus to see if you can connect.

                        Thanks

DVDFab will normally generate an internal log file entry even if it is crashing. The files is located in \(username)\(My)Documents\DVDFab\Log (varies with OS version and setup of your PC). You can open it with Notepad to copy and paste here. I do not see that you have posted a log.
