    Andromeda Season 1 stops ripping

    I'm trying to rip Andromeda Season One. First I had to turn PathPlayer off to even get it to open. Then the rip goes OK, but about 48%, then it starts crawling (I mean .01% ever few minutes). I'm not sure which logs are important, so I've attached all three. The only one that looks interesting is the process log which has:

    Analyzing of DVD started: 16:08:03
    Task_1 failed! Error=102(): 16:08:09

    But the analysis looked like it worked.

    Any help would be appreciated.

      With PathPlayer enabled, it never even opens, it just continues scanning.

        Error 102 is a read error, it can be caused by a bad disc or a disc with new copy protection.

          It just seems odd, this is an old series (but a new dvd) so you wouldn't think the copy protection would be the issue, and it happens on two of the discs in about the same place. I mean I guess there could be some manufacturing defect, but it just seems odd. Is there anything else I could try?

            Hi danhi
            You could try and older version of 8 to see if that will help
            Hope this helps

              I am new to the forums but in reading this .. I noted that you stated that two of your discs cause the problem at roughly the same spot. So I wondered if they play through fully. If so, that would then establish it as not being a manufacturing defect .. but rather most likely some new copy protect.

                MonicaJ, be advised that just because a DVD plays through has nothing whatever to do with whether it will copy or not. Two completely different processes with completely different requirements.
