    Subtitles

Is there a way in the settings to not have the subtitles start up right when the movie starts? Had this issue forever. I just used your latest version 9.0.2.8 and the same thing happens. We would like to keep them just not have them start right away?

    thank you

Which copy mode are you using that has this effect? For Main Movie or Customize, make sure the default arrow for the sub stream is not turned on. If you see the arrow, click on it to turn it off. See the attached image. Some standalone and software players will default to playing subtitles if set to play them for the last title you were watching. It works this way for v8 and v9, but the arrow in v8 is blue.

It's not the check boxes, it's the little arrow in the posted image you should focus on.

I guess i am slow, there was no arrow next to the boxes. So i just unchecked the second one. I am not sure if i explained it correctly.

I burn the movie, It automatically plays and starts the subtitles. I know you can use the remote to turn them off. I would like to keep the subs but not have them auto start. Does this help.

            thank you

Perhaps it's your stand alone player that is set up to play the first sub title stream by default?

It happens on all my players and the computer. Very strange. If i put in the original, it does not show the subtitles.

I repeat: which copy mode are you using? As Gummi said, look in the red circle in the screen capture. If you see the tiny black triangle, click on it to turn it off. Check the settings on your player. The number and position in the list of the English subs will vary with each title. I just used what I had in the drive as an example for the capture.

Will have a look at this as I seem to get that problem with v8.2. Tried to turn off a couple of options before but lose the subtitles on the foreign parts of the film which can be annoying.

It's strange because I was just having the same issue. For whatever reason subs seem to turn on be default on any player. I made sure no arrows here there in the subs section, yet they still turn on. Don't recall this happening before with v8, currently on v9.0.2.8.

u keep asking copy mode. I said i was using movie only. I am not sure if that is what you mean. I never copy the entire disk. Only the movie. If i copy the entire movie, it works properly.

Same here. Using the DVD Copy feature and taking only the movie.
