Yep. Version 9 requires an internet connection to check your registration.

An internet connection is also required for Bluray decryption updates from the Fab server.

To bad, I am not always in a wi-fi area. Looks like my DVDFab took a slight downgrade.
Oh well at least it still works.

You can install both 8 and 9 and run either depending on your circumstances.

8 does not require an internet registration check.

But v8 does require a connection to decrypt Blu-rays.
