A Good day to die hard

Backup copy has no translation subtitles when people speak Russian. The subtitles even disappear watching the original in the preview mode. The audio and subtitles were checked and showed EN, english was checked off on the drop down. I tried the movie in windows media player and the subtitles were there. Seems the subtitles disappear somehow in dvdfab program. I even previewed it in running an older version with same results.. Any ideas what I can try? Thanks..

I just got this disc about 30 minutes ago, so someone else may be able to help. Use forum search, there is another thread about it somewhere.

The second English stream contains the translations as forced subs. If you include it, they should play automatically.

You can change the preview decoder to internal in common settings->General->Preview. Fab will display the forced subtitle while previewing(I tested Avatar).

Internal in 9047 does not show any subs from this disc.

Thanks for the suggestions, however, tried them all but none seem to work. Tried with pathPlayer enabled, disabled and Terry's suggestion with no success.
Any other suggestions out there?

I used v9047 and had no problem with it. Post the internal log session from one of your attempts.

Ditto Paul but I found out that with movie only you won't get the sub titles in english when they speak russian so you will have to do the full disc and then you will get them

I just tried it with Main Movie and they are fine, but you must include the second English sub stream--in fact that is the only one that needs to be included unless you want the full dialog subs also. These are true forced subs, but if your player won't display them for some reason you can also turn on the default arrow for the second English stream to make them play by default.
