can't register and it won't work

I load the program I put in a disk and the window comes up with the source drive and file and then it just hangs there for what seems to be a long time. The process of copying does not start. I see no error message.

Version 8229 works flawlessly but version 9. I've never been able to get to work. Can anyone explain why it should do the same thing as 8229 you put in the desk. It recognizes it and starts and then you hit start version 9055 does not work this way

Post a log file from v9. It works the way it should for me.

Those are the burn logs, but they look normal. Please see if you can find the internal log from v9 not working and post that.

            Hi brasstownjim
It seems that the reset DMA is not working in 9055.
I believe your drive may be in PIO mode.
Please download ImgBurn if you do not have it, found here http://filehippo.com/download_imgburn/

Please Open ImgBurn > Tools > Reset DMA follow the prompts to reset your drive.
You can also check your drives mode by going into Device Manager IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers click IDE controllers advanced settings and check for DMA, if they are IDE, but make sure you check both of your IDE channels.
For Sata in the same folder IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers Serial ATA controllers click the port that has your drive on it, and also check your DMA status.

            Hope this helps.

                Hi brasstownjim
Yes you will be setting it back to its default state.
Nothing should happen, as I said, you want your drive in DMA mode.

I tried to reset DMA and got a message that said no ATA drives found

Check your system date and time, set it properly and see what happens?

I wonder why you are getting this error in the log:

I have no clue because the date and timehas remained correct through the whole process. Yesterday I was able to copy with no problem but one question when you put in a disk and start DVD Fab do you wait or do you hit load source while the little window is running in 8229. The little window starts analyzing and then goes to the point where you hit start. Same as with 9055. Is that correct? In any event, it may now be working, which is great since you are eventually going to 9055

Did you try this in my previous post?

The reason I'm asking is that you have your burn speed set to 8X in one of your burns and you only got up to an average burn rate of 3.41.

If it's working for you now, maybe you should "let sleeping dogs lie".

unless I need to I leave everything set at the default level, but I agree totally. That now that it's working. No need to upset the apple cart, but thanks for your help. Anyway
