    Subtitles

The original dvd has subtitles when played. When copied the subtitles are not there. So, when copying the original, should external sub titles be introduced and if so how to do it please??

You are copying to DVD right? That's the forum you're in. If you can't turn them on with the player's remote, check when you make your copy that the subs you want are selected. See the attached screenshot:

I have tried copy full disc and copy main movies to my hdd, and play them on dvd player. The subtitle is ok.
      Do as 90312 said.
Are you choosed the options "Do not select any subtitle track"?

Checked the settings in common settings-> streams->Subtitle.

Thank You both for your advice. My screenshots show what is in my Dvd Fab. I don`t know where to find to select subtitles to get them onto the copy. The original disc does show subtitles.

I see the problem now, you have "NONE" selected for the subtitles. You have the audio streams selected, the subtitle selection are just to the right where "NONE" is shown click on it and select your subtitle(s).

If you clicked on the little delta symbol on the original disc and no subtitles dropped down I don't know unless the fact your version is expired has something to do with it?

I just realized that i used a file that had no subtitles on it. I`m now trying an original disc so see how that goes. This one shows the drop down options. (attached) Does that mean that the copied movie will have subtitles and will show when playing?

I think your would better make a new backup. Maybe you backup without subtitle from your screen cut..

If you make a clone iso that's a exact copy and they will be their. They will be their for full disk and main movie also as long as the Fab settings are not set not to record any subtitles.

Thank You. It`s obvious i`m very new to all this and appreciate much your help. Now, a clone, do you mean, (i go through Dvd Fab-Dvd Shrink-Img Burn,) and i should get subtitles on the copied disc? My Fab settings are set for subtitles.

When you put the disk on the hard drive the sub titles are their on the copy if your Fab settings are set like in my screen shot. When copying just main movie or converting to something else use the pull down menu (see second screen shot) to copy the subtitles you want just like you do with the audio tracks when making a main movie or converting to something else.

Like this all Fab made rips will have subtitles. You don't have to make a clone a main movie or full disk is fine.

My settings have been like that all the time. see attachments. Where you see "none", over to the right, that`s because i used a copied disc, to check, that has no subtitles on it. So, i don`t understand why i`m not getting subtitles on the copied disc. I`ll get another original and try again.

This thread seems to be treading into dangerous waters, you should still have the original disc in your possession.
