I'm afraid GregiBoy is correct, Ive done all that I can here.
Maybe try searching around in the DVD shrink forum, I know our International moderator Chetwood uses it, and may be able to help further.
What ever you do, do not fall for the DVD shrink scams out there asking you to buy there newest version, I believe it ended in 2005 there are no more updates.
Sorry I could not help any further.

Whatever, but civility is a good thing. However, you have been a fantastic helper. Cheers to you.

90312: After hours of testing I believe I have the solution to your problem of subtitles always on and maybe exposed a bug in Fab version 9 for at least the last 2 versions 9123 and 9125.

I have duplicated the always on subtitles it happened when I fooled around with the little arrow next to the subtitle.(default setting) in main movie changing it to different settings to see what happens.

Once you mess with this setting Fab seems to do something and keep your external player always playing the subtitles when a burnt disk is played. This may be a memory thing in Fab.This happened on 2 Panasonic players a new one and a old one.I don't know if it effects other brands but it could. This happens regardless of the Fab settings for always display forced subtitles in conversions setting.

The cure is simple load a disk in Fab select main movie and select under subtitles none (this seems to clear Fabs memory or what ever causes this) then select all the English subtitles and don't use the little arrow to select a default subtitle.

Now Fab will be able to play both subtitles only when you turn them on in the player. As Signals pointed out the player can remember the last setting for subtitles so you may have to turn them off in your player just one last time as to clear it's memory.

I have not used DVD shrink in many years, my suggestion is to try different settings with it to get your desired result.

Run it through DVD shrink, open the file that it produces and view it again to check for subtitles.

Once you have your desired result, you can then proceed to burn it to disc.
    Good luck

I opened the dvd shrink backup and again the subtitles are there. I then played the disc and the subtitles are there but appear on english speaking as well as the other which is what i don`t want. Is there a setting in Img Burn for subtitles? Also, is there another way i could be doing this without dvd shrink?

Yes, that is what I mean.
I'm not asking you to shrink it, or burn it to disc. You can play the folder with a soft player like DVD Fab media player, VLC, MPC to check if the subtitles are there, maybe DVD shrink is the culprit.

Brilliant, i played the folder in Dvd Fab media player and the subtitles are all there.
Now, my next step is to open Dvd Shrink, select the file, it analyses, then goes to the page with options for english and subpicture options. I usually deselect the subpicture english captions and forced and then do backup, from that i don`t have a clue what is stopping the captions. I have found that by ticking the subpicture options that it provides captions for all even spoken english. What do you think. Actually i have at times ticked the subpicture options in Dvd Shrink and captions don`t show either. ?
