Okay so I have been using V9.1.2.5 for awhile with no real issues. Today it will not let me back up a DVD at all. It reads the DVD no problem, but when I try to change to destination to my C drive it just gives me the hour glass and freezes. What am I doing wrong????

Okay I had to use 8.2.3.0 but it worked with no problems. I tried the 9.1.2.5 again and when I click on anything I just get the spinning windows hourglass. This forum is great but who can I speak to about this problem. It is very frustrating, it was working fine before but now I can't get it to simply back up a DVD to a file on my C drive where I stream from.

Hi SSCR
Have you tried uninstalling Fab, cleaning the registry then installing the latest version found here ???

You don't delete it, you run a registry cleaner after uninstalling DVDFab. You may just need to reboot your PC. This is not a normal problem and may be related to a conflict with some other software or drivers that you have installed. I also have Win 7 Pro and have had no similar problems.Supplying DVDFab Logs in the Forum ...........................User Manual PDF for DVDFab v11................................ Please install v9.1.2.6 or later over the top of whatever you currently have installed. Install using the ...As Administrator.. option in the windows context menu. Please let it install to all default locations. With no discs in any optical drive, start v9.1.2.6, wait about 30-45 seconds, then close it (if it opened). Go to the (user)\Documents\DVDFab\Log folder and open the dvdfab_internal.log file using Notepad. Scroll to the end of the file and see if there is a log session for v9.1.2.6; if yes, copy and paste it into a post. Use the Manage Attachments button below the post editing window and attach (upload) the fabcheck_internal.log file. It would also be helpful to know something more about your PC, such as type of network, CPU type and the brand of antivirus you are currently using.

Signals, I put the destination to my C drive, can you see why it would put "desktop" in the title from the logs? Also it initiated ImgBurn even though I was just saving it to a drive. ImgBurn prompted me that "no writable media" was present, which it wasn't since I was saving to a hard drive. Is there a way I can correct this also? I normally don't burn to discs unless I'm sacred my kids will scratch the original on a car trip but like to have the option in case the orginal get destroyed. Thanks!

If you would like don`t run Imgburn change common settings->Drives ->DVD Write -> VSO
Make sure destination is correct. Try creat new folder and selected to save.
Is it still would put "desktop" ?
I could not reproduce it.User Manual for DVDFab v10 (pdf)

If you want to write the output to a HDD, you must select a folder where you want DVDFab to place the output (where it says "click here" in the attached capture). If you want to burn to disc, select your optical drive from the list, it should be at the top. DVDFab should not start a burn engine if you select a folder or ISO for output. Again, you must select a folder, not just a drive, as the output location. I put all of mine in a folder named VIDEO.Supplying DVDFab Logs in the Forum ...........................User Manual PDF for DVDFab v11................................ Guide: Using Images in Posts
