Is there any difference between the free DVDFab HD Decrypter and the d/l DVDFAB 9 on the download page?

I have been using v8 and a older v9. Thanks

the free version lags behind in updates for decryption in new
release movies. while the paid version gets first priority in new release updates.

In addition to the advice from october262, remember that v8 is not under full-time development any longer, so update timing is uncertain. If you had paid licenses for v8 or early v9 that have not expired, they can be used to activate the current versions without paying anything.
