anyone having the following installation problem with 9.2.1.0?.....

a window pop-up with the following message:

unable to create file:
C:dvdfab9\fabrepair.exe
create process failed: code 5
access is denied

I tried it twice and it both times the window popped-up.
is this a critical installation code?
can the fab still run without it?

No problems here. Installed error free.

Try a fresh download of the installer from the link in the forum and run it using the "As Administrator" option. Check the MD5 value before you run it to make sure it is not corrupted. It ran fine for me.

I did that.

download the file..
install and the pop-up window opened up.

I tried to re-download the file,
re-install from the second download and still the pop-up window opened up again.

by the way, just curious, what does code 5 means (during installation)?

have you checked your virus / malware programs to see they are
blocking dvdfab from installing?
also try doing a complete uninstall of dvdfab, run a good registry cleaner
and try again with a fresh install of dvdfab.

sireast, the devs tell me it will run fine without it. Are you running the installer using the "As Administrator" option? If not, please try it.
