update your dvdfab version to the latest version (9.2.1.0)
your version is out of date. and check and see if you have pathplayer
set to (always enabled).

That did the trick. I actually checked for an update from within the program and my version was the latest "official" version. Thanks!

i am having same problem, it won't open, keeps coming up with message to abbort or ignore, and it just won't open. i am running .6 version but i did download the latest but when i try and install it doesnt go thru usual menu of: do i accept terms, language, etc? not sure what to do except wait for next update???? help please

?? Are you saying the latest version will not install? Download the full installer from the link in the forum, then run it using the "As Administrator" option. If it still does not open the disc, attach the internal log session, instructions for this are linked in my sig, below.

I have 9.2.0.1. The "check for updates" tab says I have the current version.

You are using the old DVDFab US version, Please uninstall the old version download the latest version from dvdfab.cn.

i had to go back 5 or 6 versions prior and reload everything, then update it, then it worked to make my back up
