It should still make a short log, please double check the internal log. Does it produce any error message?

Your trial or license for DVD Copy appears to be expired, so the DVD Copy module is in HD Decrypter (free) mode, which may not be able to open this or many other discs. Please check it under "License Info" in the DVDFab dropdown (triangle, upper right window border).

Note that this is a new release and may have new protection even for the licensed version.

So does anyone know if the next version of dvdfab will fix this new protection for mr Holmes?

DVDFab v9.2.1.8 opens the Region 1(US) disc for this title with no problem, I have not fully tested it with a Full Disc rip yet.

As you can see from my log file it takes 15 mis for the disc to initialize and it looks like everythings hanging in task manager on windows 10 pc which puts a lot of people off to think it's not working but eventually it does work. Will bear this delayed time in mind for my future projects on other retail discs.

Yes it is correct, if you wait long enough, more like 20mins for me, the disc will initiate the copy files will be produced, just be patient, DVDFab is just working hard in this instant.

The disc should be opened quickly in the version. We did some improvements in the version.
