Dawsons Creek Box Set dvd copy issues...sony protection?

So I am trying to copy my boxset of dawsons creek so I have it on hard drive. I am copying full discs but for some reason on some it stops after about 45% or the program crashes. I am using latest dvdfabx64 and am wondering if it is anything to do with a new sony protection. I've read on other forums sony protection puts in bad sectors on dvds thus making copying programs almost impossible. Help!

Please open the original DVD DAWSONS_CREEK_DISC_2 disc in Windows Explorer, copy all the files except the .vob files to a new folder, zip and send it to us.
