    Formating DVD's

Do I need to format my DVD+R or DVD-R in order for them to copy onto my DVD's? It also comes up with an error saying "could not locate directory". When I format the disc it comes up saying "not enought free space". Please tell me why this is.

    Thanks

You haven't given us information to help you. Plese read the Help Us Help you thread in the DVD to DVD section of the forum. Follow the link in my signature below.

You should not need to format them.

Is this a paid version of Fab or just the free HD DEcrypter?

As GregiBoy stated You do not need to format DVD+/-r disc. Also that LG drive you have has a newer firmware update than the one currently being used http://www.firmwarehq.com/LG/GSA-T20N/files.html and then it's a slimtype drive which is not very dependable. Most suggest getting a usb type drive for use with lappy's.

OK... The FREE version will not compress DVD's nor allow customisation, main movie, etc and you are most probably trying to go from a DVD9 to a DVD 5.

The paid version will allow all of these functions and works fine and has for years. It has good support and when new title come out with new copy protection schemes, it usuallyonly take a few days for the authors to have an update out to defeat it.

Also, please take W&B's comments on your burner seriously as we have seen no end of problems here caused by lappie/slimline drives.

maybe the drive is dying...adding to GregiBoy's good advice, if you're using the trial version it should be completely fuctional unless your 30 day period has expired.

well it works for me and many others. I always suggest trying something before laying the money down but you will need a external drive.

First off, you can try the "full version" (not watered down) retail program for a 30 day free trial.
If you don't purchase, it will simply cease to function.

Internals for lappies are expensive and less than ideal.
Recommend a good external drive or for a more extensive selection, buy an internal and pop in an external case. External cases can be had pretty cheaply.

If you're in the US, take a look at newegg
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

You also apparently have the non-decrypting version:

Download and reinstall from the link in the Latest Releases forum and try again.
