Why are you in such a hurry?
Why is it all of a sudden something worth commenting on when someone comments about hoping a fix coming out quickly.

Maybe he has to return the disk and if that is the case, that is totally against the forum rules.
Doh... you are supposed to wait until after they admit that.
I don't appreciate the comments from the two mods. As far as I'm concerned, you guys are out of line with your inuendos. I've been using this program since it came out and been on this forum since it started and on cdfreaks before that. I don't need to hear these kinds of comments from anyone here, let alone the mods.

The final edited folder is approx. 5.6Gb, got rid of warnings, smoking ad, LotR animation preview, the Clint Eastwood collection ad

The end result could easily be compressed to 80% with Customize, see DVDFab screens attachments.

Since this is a first rate movie I will be recoding and not using a transcoder ! I did this to show that it CAN be done wit h DVDFab Customize !!

FYI: The ISO plays flawlessly with DVDFab Virtual Dive !!!

Yep, confirmed it's the DVDFab's Transcoder, see attachments ...... it's NOT compressing properly, even at 4300 Mb

DVD Shrink does the same exact folder of approx. 5.6Gb (Shrink to 4447 Mb) and outputs the proper ISO size, see attachments ....

DVDFab software is designed for people who want to do things with titles they own. DVDFab forum policy reinforces that. DVDFab is designed to do things that the DVD author is trying to prevent and they do pretty well with the cat and mouse game.

As mods, our experience is that the people in the huge hurry are usually the renters who wish to violate copyright law. The rest of us just set the problem titles aside with the knowledge that a fix will come soon enough. If, instead of having a rental copy, you are simply impatient then I apologize for offending thee.

If you are not compressing with the DVDFab Transcoder, then NO problem (see Post # 37) !!!

                              DVDFab Passkey 7

Hi all...I'm new to forums and this is my first entry.

I have the latest dvdfab 7030 and just downloaded dvdfab passkey 7 beta.

I'm trying to copy Sherlock Holmes.

My previous version of dvdfab showed css protection on this disc, so I downloaded 7030. It ripped and burned ok, but there were some problems in playing the disc. It stopped and I could not go forward or back.

I then found the dvdfab passkey and tried it. It opened the disc ok, and saved the Video TS. I then burned another disc with dvdfab. It said it burned ok but when I played the disc there was nothing there.

I have been using dvdfab for several years after trying other software and have not had a problem, until now.

I am probably doing something wrong as my computer skills are very basic.

                              Hope someone can help.

                              Thanks

                              Rob

I believe you are right Jak, I also ripped the whole DVD to my hard drive (set at DVD9 with pathfinder enabled) then I opened the files in DVD Shrink but I re-authored them to main movie only and unchecked all languages except English ending up with a compression ratio about 84%. The end result was perfect, not artifact problems at all.
