DVD Fab exits unexpectedly

Recently, I have had a problem where DVD Fab 7.0.6.2 exits following the reading of the source disk with no error message on some movies. It has been particularly persistent on Who Framed Rodger Rabbit. I have had this happen on four different copies. No amount of cleaning or polishing fixes the problem. I have now also had it happen on two different copies of Fern Gully.

Upgrade to the latest version 7.0.6.7 for a start and try again & report back.

also those are farely old movies so try disabling pathplayer to get it to work

As mentioned in the last release notes the crash problem was introduced with V7062 and fixed with V7067.

Update as suggested and your crash problem should go away.

Thanks for the advice. I have successfully copied Roger Rabbit. I got a download of 7.0.6.7 from the web site and forced a reload. I also set path player to "as needed" instead of always on. For some reason, my 7.0.6.2 installation did not execute the automatic update, nor did it allow a forced update from within its settings.

Look closely. It does not update from within the app, it notifies you if a newer release is available, and this only works for official releases, not beta versions. We do not recommend the "if needed" setting for PathPlayer. Please set it to "Always Enable" for best results, disable it temporarily if necessary to test problem discs.
