Dvd Fab Trial Worked but not since I registered Product

So I was able to successfully burn DVDs with the trial DVDFab, but once I activated it with a product code, I am unable to burn the DVDs. I am able to save the file to my hard drive, but unable to achieve a successful burn. I have already ruined 2 DVDs. Please help me figure out why once I registered the product that it fails to burn the DVDs. Thanks.

By the way, I have read the sticky Help us help you. I am using ImgBurn, but in the DVDFab log folder, I do not have a ImgBurn folder, is it possible that I do not have something set up right now that I activated the product?

      For starters...
      "2010-06-14 07:35:20 Info PIO Mode"

Use the reset DMA button in common settings

also verify that the registration was completed properly and you are not using the free version

Well the Riteks that you are using are crap and you are trying to burn at 12x. Too fast. Slow it down to max of 8x and maybe 4x for the Riteks.

I thought the guide to getting Img burn and DVD fab to work together had me change the write speed to 12x. I will try slowing it down.

I apologize I am new to this, what is Riteks?

I have verified the lifetime registration, it clearly states it on the initial screen when the program begins running. However, I am not sure where on the settings I am to reset the DMA to common settings. Could you please clarify further?

The burner can not burn at anything faster than 8X as it is a slimline 8X drive.

Ritek is the manufacturer of the blank media you are using. As suggested, reduce the burn speed. Most important, get the drive out of PIO mode. In DVDFab Common Settings (which you access by clicking on the little checkmark in the green circle, upper right of the DVDFab window) click on General, then click the button that says" Reset DMA ".

I reset DMA and I slowed down the speed, still no success

Although I didn't know that this wasn't a very good brand of dvds, during the trial period, I was able to use the Ritek dvds to make many other burns, it is just now that I enabled the registration key that I don't have success. Here is the log at a slower speed and with teh DMA reset. I appreciate all of your suggestions and help.

Updated burner driver and Imgburn still no success

Well I updated the dvd burner driver and also ImgBurn, still no success. I also slowed down the burn rate to 4x.

                    Here are the logs:

Any more suggestions?? I just can't figure out why I had success burning prior to registering the product.

It looks like imgburn did not catch your new burn speed. Not sure if this is the cause but it probably is not helping.

                      Cheers!

You have write speed set to MAX and it is still attempting to write at 8x.

Don't be confused, 8x is too fast for that media, 4x would be a much more reliable speed.

Yes you need to open ImgBurn and set AWS(automatic write Speed) to 4x for those blank media you have and then in DVDFab write you need to set it to recommended it tells you in the ImgBurn set up tutorial we have posted on the forum here. Link for that is below and watch the youtube videa as it shows you what to do to set up to work with DVDFab
