Can't Copy Any Movies Tried All DVD Types and IMG Burn

I am on the 8.0.0.5 and can't burn any movies. I am using Verbatim, and have tried IMG burn and am having no luck. I posted the log file below and would appreciate any assistance.

Please update to v.8011 Beta

Will the ripped files play ok when viewed from the hdd with a software player such as VLC or Media Player Classic?

Check Common Settings > Write Size
Please adjust this to 4472 MB.

Try it again, only this time with Img and post the Img burn log

Are you certain that you've selected dvd5 as your Target size?

Thanks for responding. Where do I find the beta? I paid $93 for this software so is the beta covered by my 2 year payment? Also, I did adjiust the write speed and I have it set to DVD5 on the splash front. As for using IMG Burn, would you like me to use DVD Fab to create a ISO file then burn using IMG Burn? Just uncertain how to use IMG Burn to burn the video. Lastly, I can play the content fine on a VLC player. It is just getting it to a DVD that is the problem and I am using Verbatim DVD+R 4.7 GB 16x, 120 minute.

You can D/L the latest beta (8011 Beta) or final release right here on the Fab forum or on the homepage DVDFab.com.

If you click on the ? mark icon upper right of the splash screen, then select About, your license #, expiration date, etc., will be displayed.

As long as you integrate Img with Fab, you can create the standard VIDEO_TS & AUDIO_TS Folders or an .ISO, whichever you prefer.
The folder icon to the right of Source and Target represent the standard dvd folders.
The odd-looking icon showing a dog-eared page with a disc overlay, represents .ISO.

If you choose a burner (blank media) as Target, Fab will automatically output the standard dvd folders.
The exception to this is Clone Mode which always defaults to .ISO only.

Included here is an excellent video on how to set this all up. BTW, it's well worth the few minutes to set up the Automatic Wriite Speed option.

When burning SL media with Img you're all set, but with DL media, an extra step is required by the user.
You will have to select a layer break.
Img will populate a list and rank them with a color code.
Personally, I've never had a bad layer break with Img and you can preview the cell to make sure you don't position it in the middle of some crucial action scene anyway.

You're also are at a disadvantage with your burner....? an HP slimline drive.
Slimlines are less robust and not recommended for video archiving. This doesn't mean you can't, but....well there it is.
If you intend on doing much DL burning (or SL for that matter), please consider picking up an external drive (usb interface) or an internal drive in an external enclosure.
The latter will afford you a much greater choice, but will require installation in an ext enclosure.
Total cost should be pretty close for either option.

There is also an update to your firmware, 0515, but the release notes are less than impressive...lol
That's the other bummer about your slimline. HP usually uses decent hardware, but their firmware support...well in one word, sucks.

Definitely consider a new burner.

Re: the verbatim media, MCC-004-00...is there an AZO logo on the spindle wrapper or package?
Verbatims have always been considered great quality media, but we're now seeing more inferior stuff.

As maineman noted, there is newer firmware for it on the HP site, or you can try (at your own risk!) crossflashing to the other firmware mentioned in the thread I linked above.

Just an FYI , I was able to burn the file with another burner on my laptop. Any suggestions for a good external burner? Also, if I buy a dual layer burner will it still burn single layer to all my DVD+R single ones? What is the benefit of going dual layer? Will I need to trash all these DVDs and buy dual layer ones for a new burner. I know I am asking alot but you have been an AMAZING help!

I like LG for internal and external burners and a Dual layer burner just means it will be able to burn to Dual layer media as well as single layer media
