    Whats wrong with DVDFab HD Decrypter?

    ok i have been using dvdfab decrypter for some time now but i'm new to the forum so forgive me if this has been asked before.

    i have been regularly using this software to strip all codes and back up the movie to my harddrive and then hitting it with dvd shrink but after the last update it's different and wants me to grab only the movie and then rip it (i think), i have gone into the options and clicked default and then it acts likes normal but the next dvd it goes back to the other option and i may have to open it over and over for it to be in dvd copy mode. do i need to buy the full version in order to back up movies now? or is there a fix coming for this? any help would be great, thanks.

    Recent versions had some bugs re: freeware version.
    Try 8011 Beta and run as administrator...I heard it has been fixed.

      ok downloaded and ran as administrator and its working fine, thanks very much.

      another question though...will the paid full version of this compress the file like dvd shrink does?

        The full version will rip and compress at the same time.

            I'm having the same problem but I'm not very computer savvy. How do I run as adminstrator? And is the paid version the same way it used to be or this new ripping thing?

              Right-click on the file and choose "Run As Administrator".

                will the paid version also burn the iso file to a disk or do i need to upgrade me nero? i assume the blue ray version works the exact same way as this also?

                  Paid version will burn iso to disc no need for nero. Also better to install ImgBurn and use that as the burn engine. Here is a tutorial on how to set up ImgBurn and DVDFab to work together. Watch the youtube video
