Writing ISO stalling 6.1.2.0 23/10/2009

Trying out dvdfab to see if it gonna work for me.
BlindWrite only does so much.
Just like using copies as well Im just not careful with em or know how to use a DVD case.

I am writing the DVD to the HD first, then burning the disc.
Even though its an older machine all works darn quick except the final 4-5% of writing the iso.

It just stalls out at in the hi 90% complete and I end up just hitting stop.

And the ISO still works, the movie still burns fine and all that is screwing up is the end credits but when it reaches that point the movie also freezes.

Annoying on both ends.

This is making me stall on a purchase of a license key.

Maybe no one can duplicate the symptoms you report, and you didn't really give much information. Please read the Help Us Help You document and attach the log files it asks for.

The people who supply help in this forum are all volunteers, just fellow users, but many with a great deal of experience with the product. Insulting them is probably not the most effective way to attract one of them to help you.

It sounds like you maybe have change the default size for the blanks that you are using in the "Settings" page. Some blanks do not burn well towards the edges of the recording surface.

Make sure that you use good quality blanks in the first place. There has been plenty written on this in this forum.

Also, it sounds like you are not a very patient person expecting as you expected an immediate reply. If you had read the "Help us help you" thread and supplied the information requested, that could have facilitated things a little.

Also, this forum is about users assisting users and even us moderators do it on a voluntary basis, so have a little though for your fellow forum members.

Also, download and upgrade to latest version 6.1.2.5

Updated, still does it, just stall at the end where the rest is speedy fast.
Win2K Pro, plenty of free memory and HD space.

I first write an ISO to disk and then burn.

Using main movie

Id just like to be able to back up my movies as Im not real careful with with em.
Tried many different ones, some with protection, some without.

New problem, 6.1.2.5 will not write the ISO's now.

It must know they were cancled early or something.
Least 2.0 still would write them.

fingeres crossed a regular burn program can burn the empires ISO, don't care about credits.

nero was able to burn the ISO

Try ImgBurn for making and burning image files. If you would post the DVDFab log files requested earliler it would help.

Where are the log hidden on a 2k system, can't find them.
Not in app data or program folder, don't se any file that says logs.

only log file in the program folder is

SDK_media_stats.log

in docs n settings, admin apps data, dvdfab folder no logs.

Also nothing in the ISO folder.

God only know why you can't have it all stay in the program folder

Only thing that bugs me about 2k n beyond, each program hides stuff in 30 different places.
