    BD Ripper (3D Plus) Blu-ray --> DVD --> AVI

    I used the trial Blu-ray-to-DVD option on the movie 2012 and it created DVD-format files (VOBs) of the main movie onto my harddrive, and they play like any other ripped DVD. But unlike my other DVD conversions, I cannot convert this title to AVI format. When I try to convert to AVI (trying several different profiles) it gets stuck at the beginning at either 0.28 or 0.14 percent (depending on one or two-pass setting respectively). This is the only time I've seen this happen to any of my movie titles, so I believe it has to do with the Blu-ray-to-DVD portion of my procedure either setting or changing something in the file structure thats not standard.

    Has anyone else tried this or knows what I may be doing wrong?

    Did you use DVD-9 or DVD-5 for the output size?

      I'm using DVD-9 for the output. I'm also using version DVDFAB 8.0.5.0.

        Hi AzDragonLord,

        Please install DVDFab 8.0.5.2 Beta at

        , then convert the dvd file to avi to see the result.

        If you still get the same stuck issue, please open Common Settings window, click on "Diagnosis" to find the "Directory", follow this directory to find the internal log file and post here.

        Sincerely,
        Sunny

              I installed 8.0.5.2 Beta and ran the conversion to AVI...same result as before. I also re-checked the original DVD rip and towards the end of the movie the audio is way out of sync.

              Here is the log from one attempt:

              22m 13.71s:

              ------ begin mobile work(1/1) ------

              22m 13.71s: create config(0)
              22m 13.71s: convert profile(generic.avi.xbox.bigscreen1)
              22m 13.71s: dvd title(1) angle(0) chapter(1->40)
              22m 13.71s: stream(480,2,1) stream(128,86019,0)
              22m 25.81s: sync_filter: not get stream(0) offset, then eos
              22m 26.81s: sync_filter: not get stream(0) offset, then eos

              and the second attempt:

              25m 44.53s: sync_filter: not get stream(0) offset, then eos
              25m 56.28s:

              ------ finish mobile work ------

              Neither produced a usable file.
