BD Ripper (3D Plus) Forced Subs not working

    Hello,

I've been trying for a week with no luck to get both Kill Bills to burn with forced subtitles in the brief parts of the film where they appear. (Vol 1. when the bride talks to the sword maker at the bar and Vol 2. where she trains with the kung fu master).

I'm using the BD to iPad setting with the English forced sub picture checked. Is there a way to get this to work for the "mobile" rip version? I've read other posts discussing the same problem with other methods of copying within the DVDfab software.

I've ripped other movies that appear to show sub titles (Braveheart) so I'm not sure why it's not working here.

My log info regarding my latest attempt.

    Subs

Is there no way to fix this?

I just tried chapter 12 of Avatar with v8.0.8.2 and it worked fine. The forced subs must be in the stream you select and you must also put a checkmark in the display only forced box if the stream contains other subs. I used the Iphone4 profile. I don't have the title you're using, sorry.

Note: the A/V sync was not very good on this test but the sub timing was perfect.

Tested 12 chapter of Avatar(idx/sub) and 1~2 chapter of Angle and Demons(render/idx). The are OK. I used 8083 and MPC/KM players.
But tried seveal times, faild twice in the end of the ripping, only the two testing without forced subtitle. So we think this issue cause of subtitle creating and will tracking this.

        Thanks,
        Potti

            Still no luck

Yeah I'm not sure what the problem is with the "Kill Bill" discs.

I have "Subpicture English" checked and "Display only forced subpicture" checked.

I have previous rips done of the DVD versions with different software and the forced subs work fine so I'm guessing DVDs encode subs differently than BDs? Really hoping I'm just missing something simple or there's a fix coming?

It works correctly with the Blu-rays I have tried. It must be something slightly different in the authoring of those discs, assuming that the streams actually have forced subs in them. I don't have Kill Bill on Blu-ray to try it, sorry. 1st!_Blood% is on the DVDFab staff, they will check it and fix it.

                Figured it out.

There is a second English sub picture track for each movie which is actually the forced subs. I was clicking on that track and then checking "forced subs" which meant I was looking for forced subs on a track that was already forced subs by default. So of course there were no additional forced subs to be found. Anyway it's all cleared up now and my rips have been successful.
