Scan the already ripped file that is on your HDD before doing the conversion, then choose that same frame rate on the edit page to see if you still have the A/V sync issues.

Thank you so much for your help. I downloaded the software and selected the .avi file that is the tangled ripped. I then went to DVDFab and selected the .avi file to convert to apple ipad format.

The same framerate is selected, but still the audio is off. Any ideas?

I checked the .avi file and the audio is not working so I think it is something with my initial rip.

Thanks for any help. I really appreciate it as I am very new to this.

          More Audio Out Of Synch

Today on 8.0.87QT as well as 8.0.8.5 are creating many out of sync videos. I have a MKV custom profile that just keeps the audio as is so that I can keep surround sound. Previous version work fine.. In fact I would love to go back to 8.0.8.3 but do not know how to find the download link to it.

Anyways I see this occur on many different framerate moves.. At the moment a robocop, Seabiscuit and a few others. Some are 24 frames a second, some are 30. The H264 video is encoded at the correct rate so not sure why the audio is out of sync.

          Any ideas?

          Rick

            Hi rfryar
If you are looking for an older version that was working for you, here you go , just remember that they are no longer supported.
            Hope this helps you

Here is what I have been able to determine. All the videos that seem to loose audio sync have been interlaced DVDs so far.

Have had to use other tools, MeGui, to turn them into H264 MP4s.. Would love to have DVDFab fixed..

Download and install MediaInfo (free). Use this to find your frame rate.
If it shows your dvd frame rate is say 29.97, then put this number into DVDFAb
                  under EDIT.

I retsted ripping Deja Vu in Blu-Ray with the m2ts.ac3.high_quality profile. The sync is still off on Deja Vu. Others I have ripped are fine.
