    DVD Ripper Audio sync off

I ripped the first DVD from X-Files Season 1. Everything turned out fine, except the pilot episode loses sync by a couple seconds about 3/4 of the way through the episode. All other episodes on this disk and Disk 2 come out fine.

I've tried ripping this on DVDFab7, 8.0.5 and the current beta release last night all with the same result.

The only difference between the episodes is that the pilot has a "deleted scene" feature on the DVD where an "X" appears and you can tell it to play the deleted scene within the episode. The rip does not include the deleted scene. I figured the deleted scene might have something to do with this.

    Anybody have any thoughts?

    Audio Sync is Off

I just purchased DVD Ripper, v8.x, and have the same problem.
I ripped a DVD to an AVI and found the sound was off in the copy.
In my case, the DVD has hard subtitles that are located in the Video_TS. They cannot be turned off.
So when you play the AVI there is a noticeable difference between when the Subtitle shows up and the person is speaking. The audio lags the video.
    Very disconcerting!!!

Ok, I tried the 8.0.8.9 Beta - it won't even rip, it fails the operaiton.

8.0.8.5 will go through the process, but still leaves out of sync audio from the beginning of the video.

As I mentioned before, I think it's got something to do with the "deleted" scened" on the DVD.

I had the same problem with avi's out of sync, but after downloading 8090qt and selecting "same as source" for the frame rate in the edit section (not available in 8050) my avi's are in sync again. For some reason it defaults to 25fps So you have to keep selecting it for every conversion..

8.0.9.0QT won't even rip. It will rip the disc to an .iso format that VLC can play, but it won't rip to an .avi file at all, same as the BETA.

                    Hi Galaxy_Stranger,

Please click the round green icon button with a check mark at the right top corner of the DVDFab screen, go to Common Settings->General->A/V Codec, set all the video decoder and video encoder as Software to convert and see the result.

                    Regards,

Thanks, Mona. That did it. But I have a couple questions.

                      1. Is anyone familiar with discs that have "deleted scenes" like this - I'd like to at least rip it, if not inject it into the video. It's not showing up in the list of titles on the disc.

                      2. 8.0.9.2 is crashing a lot when reading a disc.

                      3. 8.0.9.2 appears not to be able to crop widescreen dvd videos.

I can guess there are always bug fixes in the works anyway.
