No audio converting pcm/2

So far I love all the features and the picture quality of all the various units which I am still using the 30 day free trial. One problem that is definitely curbing my enthusiasm is the fact that I can not get the audio to convert over from a DVD that I have that has pcm/2 audio. I have tried almost every conversion format but to no avail. Is there a trick I am missing? When I play the video in the preview window there is sound.

Hi Aranacil,

Please open Common Settings window,
click on "Diagnosis", and then you can find the "Directory", it is like:
on Win7 C:\Users\User Name\My Documents\DVDFab\Log
on Vista C:\Users\User Name\Documents\DVDFab\Log
on XP C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\My Documents\DVDFab\Log

Same issue

Hi, have the same issue with pcm/2 audio. Hereby submit my internal log (tried with two versions of dvdfab by the way)

Hi janbanan,

You are trying DVD Ripper- to AVI, source dvd has pcm audio, we need to get the same kind of DVD disc (with pcm audio track) to do more test. Please give us more time, thanks.

I'm having the same issue with PCM/2 on a Blu-Ray, seems strange that a top class quality Blu-Ray is only letting me rip to a mono sound.

Are you using Video Converter or Blu-ray Ripper? To convert DVD content, use DVD Ripper, for Blu-ray content, use Bllu-ray Ripper. The Video Converter module is designed for converting mpeg-4 files that are already decrypted (AVI,MP4,M4V,MKV etc.) to a different format, not for converting VIDEO_TS or BDMV content.

I was using Blu Ray Ripper as it is a tv series blu ray called mr's brown's boys series 1

You posted in the wrong forum, I will move your thread. Update your DVDFab if you have not done so recently, I seem to remember some fix or something related to discs with PCM audio.

I have the latest version but would love to know if there is a fix for this, cost me to buy this software, also I posted on DVDFab DVD Ripper / Blu-ray Ripper, isn't this a blu ray ripper problem?

Fab does not support audiocopy PCM audio tracks. Please give a try of the profile "avi.xvid.mp3" and “avi.xvid.ac3". Thanks.
