BD Ripper (3D Plus) I don't understand why it is so slow

I read posts on here where people are ripping a BD in under an hour using CUDA so why is it I can only hit 10 fps (11 hours to rip 1 BD)? I have read a bunch of threads and have matched my settings to the recommended and no matter what I do I cannot get past the 10fps mark.

    Current Settings:

avi.h265.ac3 Profile left at default compression (around 7800kbps), 2 pass

    A/V Settings
    Decode: CUDA
    Encode: Software + CUDA

    Lightning Disabled
    Max CPU Disabled

Even on 1 pass I am only maxing at 23fps (3 hours).

So can someone please explain what is going wrong?

    Hardware:
    CPU: Intel E5400
    RAM: 4GB Kingston 1066
Grfx: GigaByte GTX 550 Ti OC 1GB
    Optical Drive: Samsung 12x BD
HDD: WD 1TB GREEN SATA III
    O/S: Windows Home Server 2011

PhysX Settings (Nvidia Control Panel): GTX 550 Ti

Please rip full BD to HDD first and then convert.

Where is the option to rip it to the HDD first, I had a look but I don't see it?

      Thanks for the reply.

        Hi Paladine
First save it to your HDD as "Movie Only" BD50 without compression using Blu-Ray Copy.
Then open the hard drive folder and use that folder to do your converting.
Doing it this way saves wear and tear on your optical drive and is also faster.
        Hope this helps

Even if it's a little thing, do something for those who have need of help, something for which you get no pay but the privilege of doing it.

Sadly it hasn't made any measurable difference to performance. Still only getting 11 fps on 2 Pass and 25 fps on 1 pass.

          Any other suggestions?

          Thanks,

          Paladine.

Enable Lightning Recoding and Turbo CPU. Set memory amount used for converting to Auto. Use single pass if you are concerned about conversion time.
