    BD Ripper (3D Plus) Blu-ray ripper problem since 8.0.8.5

    I have been searching the Forums and haven't been able to find an answer to my problem. I've been having issues with all versions of DVDFab since 8085. This could be a simple setting that I am missing -- any help would be appreciated.

    I ripped a test Blu-Ray using both 8085, then 8116. For each, I opened DVDFab and choose Blu-ray Ripper. I then selected iPad, then the iPad.1080p.mp4 Profile. Then did the exact same using DVDFab 8116.

    I noticed the following:

    * 8116 is 1920x816; 8085 is 1920x1080
    * 8116 audio is 96.0 Kbps; 8085 is 128 Kbps
    * 8116 doesn't play when streamed to AppleTV; 8085 works perfectly (big issue)

    I ran the info below using MediaInfo. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

    Polar Express is a 2.35:1 movie, so v8.1.1.6 is actually the correct one on the size; 1920x1080 is not the decoded image size for this title. The v8.1.1.6 info that you posted showed encoding at a variable framerate, which may or may not be part of the problem, but other users have reported playback problems on some devices with files that showed variable framerate encoding. I am not sure why this change was made in the profile.

      Thanks for the quick response. I just used the default iPad.1080p.mp4 profiles in both 8.0.8.5 and 8.1.1.6. Not sure why the 8.1.1.6 framerate was set to variable. Now the easy question from a clear 'newbie' --- how do I set it to constant?

        I'm hoping someone can help with this. I burned 5 other DVDs I own and focused on signals framerate comment. If I use 8.0.8.5, MediaInfo shows Frame Rate Mode as Constant for all. If I use 8.1.1.6, MediaInfo shows Frame Rate Mode as Variable for all. This may be a simple question for the folks on this forum but really could use your help -- I just use the standard profiles without change. How can I set the Frame Rate in 8.1.1.6 to Constant? Thanks in advance.
