BD Ripper (3D Plus) AV sync problems with m2ts.ac3 High Quality profile

I've bene waiting until the m2ts.passthrough profils issues were fixed to report a problem that has been ongoing with the m2ts.ac3.high_quality profile. I've loaded the latest 8.1.0.27 beta software for testing but this problem has been ongoing for quite some time. On 3 particular movies I am see an AV sync problem where the video lags the audio towards the end of the mt2s rip. The majority of movies (> 500 others) rip perfectly with the ac3.high_quality profile but all three of these experience the same issue, where the AV sync is over a second out of sync at the end of the rip. The movies are: The Blues Brothers, Deja Vu and the latest Fast Five movie. Here's the logfile from my latest attempt:

Open Fab click the Click the Green √ at top right corner of the DVDFab screen, and open Common Settings > General >A/V Codec, put a check in Disable all GPU codes and make sure they are set to Software, restart Fab and try again.
Please do not convert from your drive
First save it to your HDD as BD50 "Movie Only" without compression.
Then open the hard drive folder and use the HDD rip to do your converting.
Doing it this way saves wear and tear on your optical drive and is also faster.

As we do not have the disc you have (BLUES_BROTHERS_DOM), I tried HOW_TO_TRAIN_YOUR_DRAGON.iso and it's OK without AV sync problems by m2ts.ac3.high_quality. So if you also have A/V sync issue with BLUES_BROTHERS_DOM, please try another disc and try us the result.

I retested with 8.1.28 using the Fast Five Blu-Ray and am seeing the same thing, where the video lags the audio towards the end of the rip by over a second. To be clear, this is only happening on three movies out of close to 500 that I have ripped. I am guessing that it is something in commong with them. The rest of the rips are fine.

Any update on this ? I am on version 8.1.32 and still seeing the issue where the voice and video are way out of sync at the end of he rip. It's appeared on a 4th Blu-Ray now, Cars 2. The one thing I have found in common with all 4 is that their are multiple m2ts files on the original Blu-Ray. However, not all Blu-Rays with multiple m2ts files experience this since I've only see it on 4 now out of 550. If I rerip them to m2ts.passthrough the audio/video are in sync all the way through the file.

I get the same results either way on these 4 Blu-Rays. CUDA is just much quicker than software only.

I did in #3 above. But to prove my point, I followed the instructions again and got the same resuls with the Cars 2 movie. The audio and video are at least 2 seconds out of sync at the end of the rip with the m2ts.ac3.high_quality profile but if I use the m2ts.passthrough profile it is fine.

Note if you do not know how to flash your drive do not do it, it will render your drive useless.

Can we get someone at DVDfab to try and reproduce the problem ? I've been very specific that this is only occuring on a few specific Blu-Ray discs. Others users have reported similar issues. I've spent quite a bit of my time troubleshoting to this point. I don't have any issues when I use the m2ts.passthrough profile.

I'm try to repro your issue. But not repro. I test Toy_story_3 and playback on PowerDVD 11 is OK without A/V sync issue. Could you please tell us what player are you using for playback m2ts?

I've only seen the issue on the following movies:

Deja Vu
Blue Brothers
Fast Five
Cars 2

You'll need to test with one of them to see the issue. I haven't ripped Toy Story 3 with the ac3_high quality profile. I can check it later today. For playback I am using both Windows Media Player, a Netgear NEO550 and a Netgear EVA-9150.
