DVD Ripper Remux subtitles into file does not work

I'm using the DVD Ripper for creating one VOB file including subtitles.
In the Conversion Settings I choose the subpicture option: REMUX INTO FILE.
After conversion there appears to be 3 files: .vob, .idx and .sub.
So the subtitles aren't remuxed into the VOB-file.

Is the option "REMUX INTO FILE" indeed not working or did I something wrong?

    Can anyone help me out?
    Thx.

    Hi aaddegraaf,
We have found this issue and dealing with it. Please wait for the fixed release.
What't more, you can select single subtitle and then go to conversion settings page, select "Direct render into video".
    Enjoy yourself.

Remux subtitles into file does not work

      Hi Terry,
      Thanks for your answer.
The solution you suggested does not work either.
This option "Direct render into video" gives the same result:
3 files: .vob, .idx and .sub
The subtitles are not in the VOB-container.

I wait for the fixed release anyway.
      Thanks.

            Any news on the fix?
I have the same issue. Currently using 8.1.3.8.

VOB passthrough "Direct render to video"

I'm now using 8.1.6.3 and the problem is still there.

When u try to direct render the sub into the VOB you end up with .idx and .sub files instead.
              Any news, thx?

The profile of VOB passthough without any render works, only a copy process durning ripping.

VOB Passthrough does not decode/re-encode, it never has, so no rendering of subs is possible.

                    Ok, thanks for the reply!
Maybe the "sub render direct to file" should be grayed out or similar to avoid any confusion?

"Render" refers to placing the subs into the video. The player can't find subs inside the VOBs without IFO files, that's why DVDFab defaults to making sub/idx files if you tell it to include a sub stream in VOB Passthrough. Some player software can recognize the sub/idx files and use them. There is no remux subs option, it would require re-authoring the DVD, a slow process after which you would have VOB, IFO and BUP files in a VIDEO_TS folder, just like the original.
