    BD Ripper (3D Plus) Playstation Jerky Playback 8.1.3.6 - Fine on 8.0.7.3

    Hi,
    I recently upgraded to 8.1.3.2 and ripping film has become impossible as all films have become jerky when streaming to the playstation 3 using twonky server.
    I then upgraded to 8.1.3.6 as this was just released and this has not resolved the problem.
    I still have 8.0.7.3 on my PC and this continues to work perfectly.I have disabled all Graphics card acceleration as I have an ATI graphics card and I have seen this make the film too bright.

    I have just Completed test rips and the logs are below. I can confirm the issue is still there

    DVDFab 8.1.3.6 (2011/12/10 08:38:55) Jerky

            Confirmed that this is still an issue in 8.1.7.5 QT...

              I have had this problem and have been locked into using 8.0.8.5. It seems now that version is unsupported. Unable to open anything with that version and have been forced to use the newer versions that never work correctly for me.

              To me it seems like the issue began when they made the conversion to QT. Not that the UI would cause this issue.

              Recently I have tried using the Plex media server to a google tv and this issue was still there. This led me to thinking I may be doing something wrong within dvdfab. I have the newest version set up the exact same way as 8.0.8.5 and that version was flawless. So I have been at a loss on how to correct this.

              Of course, now that I think about it, the google tv is a Sony product..... I guess therein lies the problem...

                Use the newer versions with the decryption updates in Main Movie mode to write the decrypted movie to your HDD in "folder" output mode. Then use that folder as a source for v8085 or 8073 to make the conversion to MP4 or whatever you are using for playback.

                  Thanks for the quick reply signals. I hadn't even thought of doing it that way.

                  I read in some other posts and decided to try the MKV container. That worked very well. Something has definitely been wrong with the MP4 container since 8.0.8.5. Streaming from multiple servers to multiple clients all showed the stop and go playing (Buffering maybe?) using MP4. That is trying every combination with DVDFab that I could.

                  I'm surprised more people aren't speaking up about this. Maybe there aren't many people streaming mp4?

                      Jittery MP4 to PS3 playback

                      Confirmed this is STILL an issue in 8.1.9.6QT, despite ripping the full image to the HDD first then converting to MP4 using MP4+AAC.

                        Update to the PS3 Jerky playback issue

                        Would it be possible to get an update or perhaps an ETA on when this issue will be fixed? This has been a problem since the first QT version of DVDFab. I would be glad to provide any information required to help troubleshoot this issue.

                        Regards

                              Profile Type

                              signals,

                              Here's the profile information:

                              8.2.0.0 QT (03/08/2012)
                              Blu-ray Ripper -> PS3

                              Profile = ps3.mp4.hd

                              Settings:
                              Encoding Method = Fast encoding (1-pass)
                              Fixed Bitrate = 10000
                              Audio Bitrate = 448 kbps
                              Channel = 5.1 Multichannel
                              Subpicture = Direct rendor to video

                              All others default.

                              I've tried variations of these settings, reducing the bitrates, changing the encoding method, etc. All have the same result...jittery playback that usually hangs when streaming to the PS3 (PS3mediaserver). Everything is hard-wired by the way.

                              Also, this exact same profile configuration works on 8.0.8.5. Playback/streaming is fine.

                              Let me know if you require any further information.

                              Thanks
