    DVD Ripper Audio Sync Problems

I'm running DVDFab 8.1.5.9 and consistently have audio sync problems. It seems to be in sync at the beginning of the title and gets progressively worse.

I'll be testing some more but I'm wondering if this is a known issue. There are plenty of other posts saying similar things but I've not found any answer to the problem.

            Recent tests include:
            • MP4+MP3 @ 23.97fps
            • MP4+MP3 @ 24fps
            • MP4+AAC @ 23.97fps

Nothing has worked yet. Trying DIVX next.

Tried DIVX, multiple titles, multiple players, and multiple computers. All audio still lags video and it gets worse as the video goes plays on.

This is not a universal problem, but I have seen other posts about it. I made 4 conversions today using one of the iPhone profiles from DVD and BD that had no sync problems. The QA Team will be back in the office tomorrow, I will ask them to check it too. If you have time, try a profile that uses h264+aac (iPhone or other Apple) and see if it works. I used the iPhone4 1080 profile at 640x480 and 960x400 with no problems.

Audio Out of Sync by the end of the movie

Using iPad profile and have tried about 50 movies, all with the same result. The audio appears to be in sync at the beginning of the movie and ever so gradually gets out of sync by the end of the movie by more than a few seconds.

I've gotten much better results using DEFAULT settings. Still, it isn't unusual for the sound to get out of sync by the end of the title. It is slight (much less than a second) but noticeable. I've tried the iPhone4 settings and multiple computers - all with the similar results. Backups are perfect but ripped titles are inconsistent.

                      Hi Fred_S
Open Fab click the Click the Green at top right corner of the DVD Fab screen, and open Common Settings > General >A/V Codec, put a check in Disable all GPU codes and make sure they are set to Software, restart Fab and try again.

I tired this as well with my audio sync problems and no change noted. Audio gradualy goes out of sync and gets nasty towards end of movie.

With software only decoding and encoding the video still leads the audio significantly by the end of the title.

May we have an official statement about this problem, please? It is obvious that the issue is not user related as so many are experiencing the problem. It would be good to know that this problem is being reviewed.

Probably no statement. They are working on many things, no statement does not mean they are not working on this.
