cannot make avi from 1 DVD

    cannot make avi from 1 DVD

    Hi.

    I have made now sevral avi files from DVDs for my daughter. Unfortunately there's 1 DVD that dvdfab does not want to work on it...what's going on...?

    I hope this will help...once selected the source (on my pc, previously saved as DVD9 "best practice) I lunch the process but nothing happen...

        Hi arkhane
        After re-reading your post it dawned on me, your using the wrong option.
        You should be using DVD Ripper and not Video Converter.
        Try DVD Ripper.

          I did like this for all dvds....so I don't understand why it does not work for this one....?

          I'm not talking about ripping...this is OK, as first written I did it using the best practice (DVD9).

          So situation is that DVD is already ripped on my pc. Which does not work is converstion on AVI....

            You still have to use DVD Ripper, Video Converter is not designed for using a VIDEO_TS folder as an input source. The log you posted is incomplete.

              I think u did not understood the situation.

              1) rip using DVD9 as stated in "best pratcices"
              2) convert to avi

              and it works for all except that one

              For this DVD the convertion does not work...and the log is what I putted...in my undertsanding this is a problem with the dvd, not an issue of how using dvdfab...

                Which DVDFab module do you use for item 2) above? (DVD Ripper or Video Converter)

                          I understand you are using DVDs, there is also a new version released today it is found here

                          Not sure if it will help as most of the fixes were for Blu-Ray but some time they don't list all fixes.

                            Hi arkhane,
                            See from your log, you're using 8112. The latest release is 8160. So your fab is a very old version. Please update your fab as CBR929 suggested. Thanks.

                              updated DVDFab no longer works at all !!!

                              What a good suggestion...!!! DVDFab (which I have paid a licence...!) no longer works at all after having updated it !!! see attached pictures and logs
