The same thing happens with the movie Gettysburg. Could it be this new version can't handle movies over 4 hours?

That error has nothing to do with the length of the movie, it is the subtitles. Try turning off all GPU acceleration and try it again.

I just checked and all the GPU's where disabled.

I just looked at some of the other movies I've ripped with forced subtitles enabled and none of them have them. The movies I'm talking about are Avatar and John Carter. Is this a problem with the software not putting them in?

I have not tried any with 8187 yet, but the last ones I tried worked OK. Did you do these rips from the original disc or from files you had decrupted to your hard drive? Also, which version of Avatar is this, the original Blu-ray release or the more recent "extended cut" version?

I have John Carter and will give it a try to see if the prpoblem appears for me also.

I had ripped them from a decrypted version on my hard drive as you had recommended me doing a long time ago. The version of Avatar is the extended version. I have 8085 and will try that later this week when I get a chance and see if that still happens.

Okay I went back to 8185 and I still can't rip Dances with Wolves, I the same problem with forced subpictures:

I can't use 8085 because that version doesn't support multichannel for ipad conversion.
