BD Ripper (3D Plus) iTunes plays incorrectly BD ripped with mp4.h264.aac profile

Hello, I have a technical question, and please consider that the ripping process has been made with DVDFab 8, but not the current version.

I rip my DVDs and BDs using DVDFab with the same profile: generic.mp4.h264.aac
The only video options I change is selecting 2 Pass Encoding and using a resolution about 1000 px width (so downscaling BDs, and if possible upscaling DVDs), respecting the aspect ratio.

Recently I discovered iTunes plays with problems videos ripped from BDs: considering I'm italian I don't know how to translate correctly, let's say the video "hiccup" (but not the audio).
Of course I got the same problem with the player on my iPod Touch.
For this reason a re-ripped my BDs using another profile: iPad.h264.multichannel; this time everything worked fine, on both iTunes and iPod Touch.

At the beginnig I tought maybe the video bitrate of the ripped BDs could be much higher, but I was wrong: it's almost identical to the DVDs ones, because I use the same resolution so the system adjusts the bitrate automatically, and I don't change the setting.

So I'm asking: considering I'm using the same profile for my DVDs and my BDs, why iTunes doesn't play correctly my ripped BDs?
Does DVDFab use different codecs for DVD and BD with the same profile?

Please consider I live in Europe so my DVDs and BDs are PAL.
    Thank you.

For playback in iTunes or Apple devices, please try the iPhone4 1080 profile. If your playback is mostly on handheld devices, choose a smaller frame size, such as 720x400. Choosing multichannel audio will make the output file larger, which is also a concern on handheld devices. Also recommend that you update to DVDFab v8.2.1.3. Set the framerate to "Same as Source", especially for BD, since many of them are 24fps even in PAL countries.

Try it. It is the most flexible apple profile in DVDFab. Do not use "generic" in any case for apple products.

One more questions, when you say handheld devices, does that include iPad??

Yes, I use this same profile to convert movies for my iPad2 with great success. Select Stereo audio at 192 kbps bitrate for best results. And update to v8.2.1.3!

Thanks for your concern, I will follow your raccomandations.

I always use the latest version of DVDFab, but old rippings have been made with older versions.
                Bye.
