ripping Prometheus

    DVD Ripper ripping Prometheus

    after Prometheus was about 90% complete, I received an error message. I aborted the run, deleted the internal log, and ran it again to get the correct internal log. Upon doing so, I got the error message again and aborted. But to my surprise, the rip finished. I checked the movie file itself and it appears to be just fine. This was using 8215. Here is the internal log:

    I have upgraded to 8216 Beta and will run Prometheus again to see if I get the same error message again.

    here's the internal log i have after upgrading to 8216 and ripping Prometheus again. Same error message again, so i clicked abort. it came back that it was completed, but it was only 90% complete.

      the only thing the error message says is "Error Message. Please choose what to do." no code number or anything else.

        Read errors can be caused by several things.
        Dirty / smudged disc.
        Scratched disc.
        Defective disc.
        Dirty lens in reader drive.
        Please clean your disc and ingore all read error when it appears.

          thanks. i'll see if i can get the lens in the drive cleaned. the original disc may have been smudged or scratched, but not sure.

            Is this a WalMart disc? If so, please post the UPC code from the back of the box.

              Hi Dark Intentions
              If I also may add turn path player on.
              Open Fab Click the Green √ top right > Protection > Path Player click Always Enabled click OK restart Fab and try again.
