BD Ripper (3D Plus) The Avengers - Russian Part

I noticed a couple of posts about this but not relating to the BD Ripper section.

Has anyone been able to get the Hard coded subs to work for the section where they are talking russian? I tried with the previous version and it didn't work and I was excited to see a new release and just tried it again without any luck?

So do we know if this is a known issue that is being worked on? or am i just crazy and missed something?

I haven't tried it yet but I have the disc. Is your source the DVD or the BD? Never mind, I see it in your post. I will try it and see what I get also. Give me the time stamp of one of the parts with the Russian dialog.

What's the version of your BD disc? I have checked it for several times. But no forced subtitles in the Russian talking part. You can play your disc without show any subtitles to check whether it has forced subtitles or not. Thanks.

I have the combo version (Blu-ray and dvd disc set), when I play it on my Blu-ray player without changing any options, so English with no subtitles, when it gets to that screen it shows up the English subs while they all talk Russian.

I don't have any Blu-ray software on my pc so I can't test it on there.

Hi,

I had no trouble getting the subtitles to show.

I used title 800 and the third English subpicture listed from top of subpicture list. Do not check "Display only forced subpicture". Also used chapter 3-4. In Title 800 chapter 4-4 is the girl running through village. One chapter after train warehouse scene.

Using title 532 throws subtitles off by about 5 seconds.

Thanks Kevin, I'll try that tonight when I get home, my defaults to 532 so i always thought that's the one i need to use...

What is the difference between 532, 800, 802 etc... is there a a reason why it defaults to 532?

Changing it over to 800 worked like a charm, thanks for the advice, like i mentioned above, not sure that the difference is the numbers?

Same Problem, but I keep getting French Subs

I found your thread, and it almost exactly stated the problem that I was having, but when following your instructions, I get FRENCH subtitles, even though I have English selected. Any suggestions? I am running 9.0.3.1

Can you attach a screen shot of chapter 4-4. I just wnat to make sure I'm not missing something. I have done the following and it appears I missed something.

Not Forced Subs

The problem with this disc is that the translation subs are not forced, they are played by default. So, if you check Display Only Forced, you will get no subs in the output. See the attached for the proper settings and a capture of the result they produced using direct render to video in MP4. 800 is correct. The Russian translations are actually in Chapter 3.

I'm not sure what has gone wrong here but I have done exactly as you suggested and yet no subs. I even tried to attach the log, caption shot and media shot only to be told the files are to large to upload.

See the link in my sig for tips on posting logs. I was using direct render to video, looks like you had it set for remux into file, which can be a problem for some players. I did not try New Hope, but as I recall it had very few translations.
