    DVD Ripper Blu-ray Ripper

I've been having a problem ripping some new additions to my Blu-ray collection, to the MP4 format required by my Samsung TV.

Up until now DVDfab 8 has worked seamlessly but it would not copy my new movies

The Guns of Navarone, The bridge on the River Kwai and Kelly's Heroes.

I finally found that I had to tick the Deinterlacing box on DVDfab 8 before the copy would complete (still well over an hour).

I've not been able to find this on DVDfab 9.

My question is should I use deinterlacing for all my future conversions and if so why?

    Any advise would be appreciated.

    Many thanks

Almost all Blu-rays are 1080p and should not need deinterlacing. Set the frame rate to 23.97 fps or "Same as source". Also try turning off CUDA or other GPU acceleration in A/V Codecs in Settings.

GPU acceleration is also turned off.

      Video Decoder settings are.

      VC1 set @ Software.
      MPEG2 set @ Software.

      Video Encoder settings are.
