BD Ripper (3D Plus) Render forced subs - still not working - please fix!

I have been using DVDFab for a long time - updated to 9.0.6.2 and this feature is still not working. Here is the behavior I observe:

    a) Using Life of Pi Bluray 3D as a source
    b) there are two english sub tracks
    c) when selecting Render Subs in video the program de-selects one of the sub tracks - ironically it deselects the wrong one
    d) it does not detects any forced subs (as they are in the other track) and the video is missing the appropriate english forced subs
    e) when performing the same process above but selecting either extract subs or remux into file DVDFab selects both sub tracks and displays only the forced subs as designed

Summary - it appears that the Render subs into video feature is not work or causes some ill behavior. Can this be fixed - PLEASE!

    Hi,

DVDFab does not scan the subtitle before converting, so DVDFab could not select the correct subtitle which include the forced subtitle.
You should select the correct subtitle which include forced subtitle manually.

Direct Render will always reduce the selected sub streams if you have more than one chosen, since only a single stream can be rendered. You can use Preview to see which stream contains the subs for translations and include only that one, it only takes a moment or two. On many recent Blu-rays, the translation subs are already rendered into the video on the disc and no sub streams need to be included.

        Here's what I do

I've been struggling with this issue for a while, and have come up with the following process:

        1. Select all english subtitle tracks on the disk, don't select the "forced only option"
        2. Load the resulting .sub file in SubTitle edit and look at each to see if they either have a "forced" section, or if one of the track is just the "forced" sub titles. I save the results of this process as a .srt file
        3. Remux the srt file into my MKV file using mkvmerge.

PS. the nice thing about the srt file is that it's just a text file, so you can edit to fix any issues from the OCR process used to create it.

So far, this process is working well for me, and I've used it to go back fix missing titles on disks that I've already ripped.

I am sure this works well in the hands of an advanced user, but is not directly responsive for the OP's goals (one step, direct render to video).
