DVD Ripper Yet more audio sync problems

Tried to convert Mad Men Season 1 to Nexus 7 and generic mkv.ac3 with 9.0.6.0, both have audio sync problems. Better with 8.2.2.9.

I have had problems with nearly every rip using 9.x. Blu-rays are really bad with subtitle problems (see other threads about Toy Story 3) and audio sync that gets worse through the movie.

The reason I bought DVDFab was to be able to easily rips DVDs and Blu-rays for viewing on other devices, but it is infuriating to go to the trouble and time of doing it only to experience problems with the rips. Then I have to log a problem here, I'm told to try it without hardware encoding, to try different versions - all to no avail.

There must be something fundamentally wrong with 9.x (and blu-ray ripper in 8.x) - can you advise me if you are able to fix it or can I have a refund?

I do not believe there is anything "fundamentally" wrong with BD Ripper. It works well for me with most source content. If you want help, please post the complete log. The software is licensed with a well-known no refund policy. If you want to debate that, contact the company directly using the contact link on the dvdfab.com website.

As I've said in other similar threads I have ripped over 500 movies and the only way I've been able to avoid most of the audio sync problems is to first use DVDFab Copy to create an iso file then use DVDFab DVD or Blu-Ray ripper to rip it into whatever format you want. It still isn't perfect, but pretty close.

Audio sync convoluted fix that works for DVD

There is a 'fundamental' problem with DVDFab's audio sync.

About 10% of my conversions have severe audio sync issues. Ripping the main movie to the hard drive first doesn't help. With and without CUDA has no effect. Ripping as passthrough to a single vob before conversion doesn't work. Competing products sometimes worked. 'The Godfather' DVD couldn't be synced with anything until ...

I used VOB2MPG to convert the vob's in movies ripped by DVDFab to mpg's.
The resultant mpg's were then converted (I use h.264 for most everything) by DVDFab with perfect A/V sync with EVERY problem DVD.

This step stands out in using VOB2MPG -
        "Fixing time stamp discontinuities"
is seen in every case when the vob's are combined.

Is this something that DVDFab is missing?

        I don't convert BD's so I can't comment on those.

I am having audio syncing issues with Seinfeld season 9 using 9.0.6.0. This version is a little better than the previous, but the audio isn't synced 100%. I am using avi(2 gb-).h264.mp3 profile. I have tried all seasons before and have had a/v sync issues.

            Hi electro
Please choose one of the non (2 gb-) profiles.
If still having problems post your internal log.
            Thanks
