DVD Ripper DVD Ripper stops ripping at 25%

I bought DVDFAB ripper a few months ago. It worked fine at first...but the last few updates have stopped me dead in my tracks. DVD gets to 25% and stops ripping, time remaining falls to 0. Doesn't matter what DVD I try to rip, old or new ends up the same. Do not appreciate paying money for software only to have it fail miserably. HELP!

    DVDFab 9.0.7.0 (2013/10/06 10:38:27)

Doesn't matter what DVD I try to rip, old or new ends up the same.
Did you install the Bitdefender on PC?

Note that there is a source data error in the log, Now You See Me R1 DVD is 23.97 fps progressive scan, not 60 fps interlaced. I have checked the original disc.

If you have bit defender installed .....Bitdefender Internet Security...

for some reason it interferes with fabcore.exe so that it keeps increasing in memory usage untill it caps at a certain level and then stalls....no need to uninstall Bitdefender though..... just go into settings/Exclusions/Excluded Processes and add dvdfab.exe and fabcore.exe....

Have the same issue with DVDFab 9.0.7.0.

While ripping DVDFab stops accessing the optical drive on a random base (any DVD).
No crash, no error message... sounds like a deadlock in the program.

I'm not running BitDefender but Symantec EndPoint Protection.

Reverting back to DVDFab 9.0.6.3 or any previous release and the problem went away.

Thanks everyone! Problem solved. I do have Bitdefender and had tried turning it off to no avail. Adding DVDFab & Fabcore to exclusions did the trick. Thanks again for the tip.
