Unable to open Blu-ray - Getting "Please update" error

    Nathanh915: You may have to do it with video converter from a home movie.If you didn't use it yet all Fab programs have a 30 day trial.If using this trial it will put a Fab logo into the picture but you can see if it works.Are you using rewritable disks or regular dvd's?

      You should not open the folder in driver manually, just let DVDFab read the disc automatically.

      For StreamFab: C:\Users\User Name\My Documents\DVDFab\StreamFab\log

        Tried Glenns recommendation without any luck.

        I am using DVD-R discs.

        Wilson, Dvdfab was reading the disc automatically but stopped.

        When it was working, I would insert the dvd and windows media player would start playing the disc. I would close WMP, then dvdfab would start reading the chapters.

        Worked great for the first 20 discs, then I came in the next morning and have been getting this error ever since.

          Update.
          Uninstalled DVDFab, Ran CCleaner, Ran Regedit and manually removed any reference to DVDfab and deleted all folders.

          Still getting Failed to open Error.

            Are you using bit defender for security program if yes.
            .....Bitdefender Internet Security...

            for some reason it interferes with fabcore.exe so that it keeps increasing in memory usage untill it caps at a certain level and then stalls....no need to uninstall Bitdefender though..... just go into settings/Exclusions/Excluded Processes and add dvdfab.exe and fabcore.exe.

            If no I would go into control panel and hardware and sound under it is the settings to auto play your dvds,You selected windows media player to start when putting a dvd in the drive change it to do nothing then Fab will read the disk when you put it in the drive without media playing starting.You can give this a try you can always set it back to the way you had it.

            Doe's the disk play on the computer? Try using version 8085 it's still up on the front page of Fab.If it doesn't see all chapters go into Fab settings and turn off pathfinder when done turn it back on see if this helps.

              I am using Eset Nod32 antivirus.

              I installed 8.2.2.9 and I can rip the dvd, but now I have no audio. I used generic.avi.xvid.audiocopy. Which profile works the best?

                Installed 9.1.0.6 on my laptop and I'm still getting the Failed to open Error that I received on my desktop. I was hoping it was just my desktop.

                It seams to only do it on my DVD5 home movies. Commercial dvd's seam to work fine.

                Any ideas?

                I installed version 8.2.2.9 and ripper worked but I get no audio.

                  Try disabling path player in Fab settings, see pic, just remember to set it back to always enabled.
                  Also make sure that you have all auto play settings on your computer turned off so there is no interference between Fab and other programs trying to read the disc.
