    Yes I just tried with quick sync same thing ticked or unticked the lightning shrink is always on so no way to test cuda without it.

    Have you ever tried the intel quick sync by connecting the monitor to it as it's really fast I got 235 plus fps about 10 mins to convert turning a movie on the drive to mp4 audio copy with Fabs default settings.Is the cards with cuda much faster?
    235+ fps???? Really?
    How do you enable the intel one? I have no idea as I never used it (yet).

    I wouldn't know since I haven't tested my currect cuda config with dvdfab in this PC (which is the fastest I have).
    Without any GPU acceleration I got 60-70fps

    Btw, I uninstalled the beta and installed v5 official again and got this:

    and come to think of it, now I remember this was one of the two films I had to use dvd-shrink to rip :-/

    Anyway, I tried another BD (The Arrival) with the beta just now, and it also crashed.

      here's the link how to use quick sync with Fab you need to plug your monitor into the mother board.
      Don't download the newest driver 3621 it has a problem but we are using driver 3496 now 2712 is the earlier driver that also works with fab.If your lucky you just plug your monitor in to the mother board then check fab settings and see if you see QS enabled as my screen shot if not then their are bios settings to set or maybe just pulling out the cards will work.

      Those FPS speeds were for doing what I said if your converting to something else for reducing from 50-25 FPS is 80-100 avg.On a I7 processor.

      I also noticed your LG burner drive is one version of firmware out of date update here follow all directions or you can render the drive useless.

      You should be using 103AO version.

      On the 2 newest versions of Fab if your in the USA they no longer decrypt blu rays at all only dvd's.You need to find another free program to do so some are listed by Fab the internet is your friend here.

        I also thought of a way to test with cuda only and Fab use version 8 of fab it doesn't have lightning shrink.

          Oh Oh - I didn't know that, and the fab 5 I got says US in the end - I am not in the USA - how do I change it so that it can continue to decrypt?

            Take the U.S. version off the drive use the free cc cleaner (free on the internet) to clean the registry run it 2-3 times till it shows no problems then just download from the Forum or front page of fab from any non U.S. country your in FaB will know from your ip address if your not in the U.S. and give you the proper version for your location.

                      Happy now? No more cuda your using Quick sync with lightning shrink.like a poet that don't know it.

                        lol, thanks man, will do.
                        At least I halved the time to 20mins from 40 .. that's something at least.

                        But seriously, if we could use the combined gpu processing power (as does BOINC or similar programs) I bet it would take less than 10mins to rip a BD on an i7.. How on earth did you get 10minutes to rip? Which i7 do you have?

                        Edit: previous rip of the film = 11.6Gb - This new one = 10.9Gb

                          I have the 3773 I7 but I was ripping from a movie already on the drive was yours? Also The settings I used were audio copy so theirs no encoding for the sound and I used the default settings for the profile if I set the bit rate up or don't use audio copy the FPS should slow down with more work added.

                          Everything counts I have very fast memory 8 gigs this makes a small difference as well as the movie itself a lot of movement in actions movies and dark pictures like Batman movies will take the speed in FPS down as it's harder to encode than a slow moving picture with little action.

                          The movie I tested for you is called The Awakening (blu ray) with the mentioned settings.
                          I haven't watched it yet so I don't know whats in the horror movie how long in time it is and if no action or lots etc.

                          Now that you had your holly crap batman this is fast moment enjoy it you paid for speed now it's here without expensive internal cuda cards.Time for a cold beer I earned my pass it forwards reward.

                            hahahaha

                            I have 24Gb on the i7-4770 and I was ripping the Arrival (114mins) to mp4 H.264 1 pass, audio passthrough and subtitle copy directly to a 50Gb sata3 ssd .. that's why I was wondering

                            From BOINC logs:

                            so talking about GPU power
                            (GFLOPS = Unit of computing capacity equal to one billion (10^9) floating point operations per second.)

                            Core i7-4770K (Haswell) ->177 GFLOPS
                            HD Graphics 4600 -> 200 Gflops
                            Nvidia GT630 -> 311Gflops
                            Nvidia GT750 -> 2233 Gflops

                            See the difference?

                              I missed this one
                              I don't think that will work for the same reason fab 9 didn't, it does not support the current nvidia drivers needed for the 750

                                I won't say that yet remember Wilson's log he was using the same GT750 card and if that's so good just use it alone and see the results.
