Black screen with H265 MKV

    BD Ripper (3D Plus) Black screen with H265 MKV

    Hi,

    I have a Popcorn VTEN mediaplayer, and if I want to play H265 bluray movie encoded by DVDFab in MKV, I have a black screen !

    I don't understand because if I encode this video in H265 MP4 it works !

    Does the MKV version play on your PC using DVDFab Media Player or VLC (or other software player)? Please scan it with MediaInfo and post the results.

      Hi signals,

      First of all I want to thank you for your reply.

      I forgot to tell you that I am on Mac, I bought DVDFab ripper pro.

      The MKV video with VLC works fine, but I have a black screen on my Popcorn VTEN.

      I did some tests with MKVToolnix, I kept all DTS tracks and subtitles and chapters of the original MKV, and I just replaced the video from MKV by that of the MP4 video, and it's very well on VTEN !

      Here is information for each video.

          Please clarify for me which of the headings is the one made with DVDFab that plays with black screen video on the Popcorn. I have edited your posts to give each MediaInfo output set a number so we can be certain of which one we are discussing. Also, please try playback with DVDFab Media Player, it is free for everything except optical disc playback.

            The number one have a problem, black screen, the two others works fine.

            I have try with DVDFab Player, and the number one works.

            I don't understand why MP4 DVDFab version works, and MKV version not...
