BD Ripper (3D Plus) Meta Collection

I'm curious why the Meta Collection won't work when I open a BluRay "folder"?

i.e...I COPY the BluRay from the disc to the local hard drive, and then go into Ripper, open the directory, and rip from there.

It is restricted to original discs, since folders may have different structure (title numbers, omitted content etc.) depending on how they were created. To be universally applicable for all users, Meta Collection must begin at the only common source, the original disc.
