DVD to Mobile generic 0fps

Another one of these kinda threads I know... Looked everywhere and couldnt find anything that worked. It just starts encoding and dwindles down to 0 fps in the first 30 seconds or so and shows 0% complete. Doesnt matter which profile I use or which encode settings (high or low bitrates etc)

DVD ripped to HDD as an ISO wonderfully and plays just fine (took it only about 18-20 minutes).
Trying to select title 1 (or any title for that matter) and encode it to a file using the dvd to mobile option does what I described above. This is a TV Series DVD with 8 episodes.

This usually happens with a poorly authored DVD or the content on the DVD is not really DVD standard.

I would try this though. It has worked for me on ocassions.

Rip the DVD to Hard disk, Main movie and select Title 1 only and keeping only a good audio track like AC-3
Try to process that with DVD to Mobile.

You said that you did that with DVD to Mobile, not DVD to DVD as I was suggesting.

Yea, I used the DVD to DVD option to make an ISO on my drive. As stated that took only about 20 minutes. From there it plays fine as well as directly from the Disk itself. I can use xvid, divx, h264 etc and they all do the same thing. As for audio source there is only AC3. I am unsure how to perform a direct VOB rip, never done it before. Would that allow other software to encode it after dvdfab has decrypted it?

I think what GregiBoy was suggesting was to do DVD to DVD Main Movie, select one of the TV episodes only, select a single audio track, and rip to a folder rather than an ISO (I may have added something to his original thought). See what happens and report back.

No try full disk to a folder and retry DVD to Mobile for one or more episodes. It might be that only ISO processing is affected.

Right thats what I did, but I cant figure out how to do dvd to mobile from a folder. Do you mean file to mobile?

NO when you are doing DVD to Mobile and already ripped and saved the DVD to computer the source would be the file you have saved on computer then once that is selected you can select the mobile format you want to do

File to Mobile is for changing avi or Divx format to another format for anotherdevice you want to watch them on

Yep, good write up and exactly what I did (I never use dvd5 and have actualy set it to just default to 9 for me )
