I have dvd: NTSC DVD 720x480, Anamorphic (result is 16:9), but some letterboxed (~ 6 pixel at top & bottom).

If i crop movie (13 pixel at top & 13 pixel bottom) then i can chose 720*382.

But i want crop 4 pixel at top & 4 pixel bottom and chose 720*400.

How i can this ?

I think is bug/problem, because it is good proportion (720*400) (with 8 pixel crop)

Which profile are you using? What is your playback device?

profile : generic.default/generic.mkv.h264.audiocopy/avi.xvid.audiocopy

It doesn't matter, always problem.

In the past, I believe the generic profiles you are using had 720x400 and even larger screen sizes available. I see that now they do not, but I don't remember when or why they were removed. I will see if I can find out from the developer. In the meantime, you can try adding the size you want by manually editing the profile size list using Notepad or any pure text editor.

Change this line:
<size list="" />
So that it looks like this:
<size list="720x400" />

This may or may not work, but hope it helps. Also, your VLC is a very old version.
